food baton, nørrebro
The week at the photography course at Grundtvigs Højskole this summer gave me an idea about combining my interest of food and sociology in a number of portraits that describes the people and the environment I live in.
This weekend in September I will launch a food exchange baton where one resident at Nørrebro every week will pass on a food that they want someone else to have. It doesn’t matter whether it is a homemade jam or a half package of broken biscuits, one canned tomato or a single vanilla pod. Everything goes. The idea is to exchange and reflect upon the act of giving and receiving food. Each exchange of a food item will be documented with a portrait of the person and hopefully end out with a series of inspiring stories and photos.
Let the baton begin – Stay tuned for more information!
